Job summary

Halfords Autocentre in Inverness offers an Apprentice Technician programme where you work on servicing, inspections and more across a wide range of makes and models. The role includes 40 hours per week with one college day (day release) and a 5-day week within 0800–1800 hours, across up to 6/7 days as required.

You will learn workplace safety, engine and electrical diagnostics, and customer-focused service from mentors and lecturers, developing skills to diagnose and repair to high standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Friendly, helpful, team-oriented person with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician
• Able to use hands and have a strong and fit attitude due to the manual work involved

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will gain knowledge and skills required to become competent technicians
• Work on servicing, inspections and diagnostics across a range of vehicles
• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards
