Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship in Fort William offers hands-on training across servicing, inspections and diagnostics on diverse car models. You will learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards, while gaining safety knowledge and practical skills from college lecturers and mentors.

The programme combines 5 days per week with one day at college, 40 hours weekly, with benefits such as generous holiday entitlement, life assurance, staff discounts, and career development

Qualifications

Qualifications required: GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalents).
Very key to this role is a friendly, helpful, team-orientated person with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
Interest in cars and solving problems; able to use hands and handle manual work.

Responsibilities

Gain knowledge and skills to become a competent technician in the workplace.
Topics cover safety, engineering skills, vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance and diagnosing faults.
Work on a variety of vehicles and diagnostics while learning from mentors.
