Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprentice in Fort William (Inverness-shire) provides hands-on vehicle technician training across servicing, inspections and diagnostics. You will learn safety, technical skills and diagnosis with guidance from college lecturers, colleagues and mentors.

Working week is 5 days with one college day; total hours around 40 per week (44 if over 18). Salary starts at 8.50 per hour, with generous benefits and strong career prospects within Halfords Autocentres.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Very key to this role is a friendly, helpful, team-orientated person with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and problem solving are beneficial

Responsibilities

• Learn workplace safety and engineering skills
• Gain proficiency in vehicle inspection and servicing, maintenance, repair and diagnosing faults across engine, chassis and electrical systems
