Job summary

Halfords Group PLC in Kirkcaldy offers an Autocentre Apprentice program where you will gain hands-on experience across servicing, inspections and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles. You will work 40 hours per week, with one day at college, and be part of a supportive team in a busy Autocentre environment.

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
Friendly, team‑orientated with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
Interest in cars and solving problems.
Able to use hands and have a strong and fit attitude to work due to the manual work involved.
Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
Enjoys working and fixing problems with cars.
Knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

During the apprenticeship you will learn workplace safety and engineering skills.
Develop skills in vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair and diagnostics.
Work on a variety of vehicles and diagnose faults using diagnostic methods and equipment.
