Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship offers hands-on training across servicing, inspections and diagnostics. You’ll work on a wide range of vehicles, developing troubleshooting skills and learning to diagnose and repair at a high standard.

You will study at college with day release, gain practical experience, and benefit from generous company rewards including a pension, staff discounts, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above are required.
• Friendly, team-oriented candidate with a strong desire to build a career as an auto vehicle technician.
• Interest in cars and solving problems; able to work hands-on and handle manual tasks.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and basic diagnostic approaches is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge and skills to become a competent technician in the workspace.
• Learn workplace safety, engineering skills, vehicle inspection and servicing.
• Maintain, repair and diagnose faults around engine, chassis and electrical systems.
