Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in diagnostics, servicing and repair across a range of vehicles. You will learn safety, engineering skills and vehicle inspection, supported by mentors and college lectures.

The programme runs a 5‑day week with one day at college, totalling around 40 hours, with strong opportunities for career development and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalents).
• Friendly, helpful, team-oriented with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Learn workplace safety and engineering skills.
• Develop skills in vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance and diagnosing faults.
• Work on a variety of vehicles with the Autocentre team.

Skills

Friendly and team‑oriented

Interest in cars and problem solving

Manual dexterity and physical fitness

Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance

Microsoft Office knowledge

Education
