Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is offering an apprentice program where you will train to become a competent vehicle technician. You will learn safety, engineering skills, and perform vehicle inspection, servicing and diagnostics across engines, chassis and electrical systems.

You will develop troubleshooting abilities, work as part of a team, and gain practical hands‑on experience in a dynamic workshop environment with college day release.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
• A friendly, team‑oriented person motivated to build a career as an auto vehicle technician.
• Interest in cars and problem solving.
• Ability to work manually and stay fit for workshop tasks.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Learn workplace safety, engineering skills, and vehicle inspection and servicing.
• Maintain, repair and diagnose faults across engine, chassis and electrical systems.
• Work with diagnostic methods and equipment and adapt to changing tasks.
