Support Worker (male support staff only) for a non verbal man with autism, emotional and complex needs in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Shift Pattern

Please apply for details of our set shift pattern on a part time basis.

Also Some weekends or/and shifts to cover sickness or gaps within the rota. Please note that no shifts are guaranteed when not on a set shift pattern.

We are also looking for bank/relief support workers which is as and when.

Job Summary

We are looking for a male support worker to join our successful team to support a non-verbal 33 year old man with autism and complex needs to live in his own home.

You do not need experience. We will give you full and robust training and shadowing periods.

A robust care plan will be given to follow which forms part of the main structure of the service.

You will have access to a company car (automatic) while you are supporting the service user but a driving licence is not essential for this position.

If you are not sure about the position, come along and spend some time with the service user and service team manager to decide if this is the right placement for you.

This is a unique role in a unique service built around the needs of the service user, and it is completely person-centered to his needs.

The service user doesn’t require medication or personal care.

Training and shadow shifts

Will take place at any point during any day of the week and/or up to 1 weekend a month.

Please insure you are available to partake fully in the training.

Holiday pay

is paid on top of the hourly rate at 12.07% which equates to 5.6 weeks annual leave.

Rates of pay

£15.50 per day hour plus the holiday pay to make it a total of £17.37 per hour.

Night sleep-in rate

£34 per sleep-in (we pay an increased amount of £89.10 per sleep to compensate you should you be awake).

You will be paid towards the end of the month (within the last 4 days of the month) in arrears pro rata through PAYE administered by Wiltshire Council payroll team and all tax, national insurance, pension etc is calculated by them and you will be sent a monthly payslip with all payments and deductions.
