Autism Support Assistant

Are you committed to supporting young people with complex autism needs? We are looking for a patient, proactive, and resilient Autism Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a dedicated team in a secondary school in L9.

About the Role
  • Work within a specialist class for students with complex autism.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning and develop social and communication skills.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
  • Support sensory and emotional regulation in a calm, structured environment.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with students with autism or additional needs (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic approach.
  • Resilience and flexibility to adapt to individual needs.
