Job description

Well established Accountancy Practice based on the outskirts of Preston are looking to recruit an Accounts / Audit Senior.

Reporting to the partner, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing assignments to strict deadlines (accounts, tax, briefing notes), reporting either directly to the director/partner or on more complex assignments to the senior manager.
  2. Liaising with the manager/partner to organise assignments (book with clients and organise staff) whilst complying with the Firm's policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  3. Liaising with relevant departments to ensure compliance work is planned at the right time, using allocated staff and providing supervision.
  4. Collating project raw data and summarising it into a suitable format for review (e.g., first draft projections/reports).
  5. Reviewing work in progress and fee budgets on a monthly basis, reporting variances from billing targets to the manager/partner.
  6. Arranging pre-completion meetings with managers/directors/partners and completion meetings with clients in a timely manner.
  7. Managing own fee targets, preparing own budgets, and bills for manager/partner approval.
  8. Giving clear instructions to staff on assignments, ensuring they are supervised, and providing feedback using the Firm's IPD framework documentation.

Ideally, you will be ACCA / ACA qualified, although finalists will be considered. In return, you will be awarded a great working environment, excellent support from senior colleagues, and a structured career path.
