AV Commissioning Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum London & Surrounding Areas | UK Travel Fine‑Tune World‑Class AV Systems and be the final word on quality.

The Role

As an AV Commissioning Engineer you will configure, test, commission and handover AV systems across multiple client sites. You will work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure every system meets specification, functions flawlessly and exceeds client expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Commission AV systems including video conferencing, control systems, DSPs, displays, projectors, audio systems and digital signage.
  • Configure and test systems to ensure full functionality and performance.
  • Fault‑find and resolve technical issues during commissioning stages.
  • Work from system schematics, drawings, and design documentation.
  • Support installation teams during final stages of projects.
  • Produce commissioning documentation and support system handovers.
  • Carry out client demonstrations and basic user training where required.
  • Ensure systems meet industry standards, quality expectations, and health & safety requirements.
  • Support post‑installation troubleshooting when required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in AV commissioning within a commercial environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of AV signal flow, networking and system integration.
  • Experience commissioning VC platforms, control systems and audio processing (DSP).
  • Confident fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional client‑facing approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
