You will monitor pupil attendance and punctuality, follow up on unexplained absences, contact parents, and maintain accurate records. You will work with pastoral staff to address attendance issues while upholding safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• DBS check via the Update Service is required.
• References covering the last 2 years of employment/education are required.
• Previous experience in an attendance-focused role within a school or educational setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track pupil attendance and punctuality.
• Follow up on unexplained and persistent absences.
• Contact parents/carers regarding attendance concerns.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure information is updated promptly.
• Work closely with pastoral staff and senior leaders to identify and address attendance issues.
• Support the school in improving overall attendance and reducing persistent absence.
• Assist with attendance-related meetings, interventions and reporting.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
