Job description

A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial, residential and public sector projects is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Surrey.

This is a client-facing role suited to a confident and experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a consultancy environment and is ready to take a lead role on major developments across the South East.

This opportunity would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in pre and post contract delivery, team leadership and client management. You'll be working across a broad range of project types, including residential, education, healthcare and commercial developments, with values typically ranging from 5m- 100m.

As an Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee a small team of surveyors and play a key role in business development, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and design teams. This role offers a clear path to Director level for the right individual.

Associate Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost management services across multiple projects
  • Manage client relationships and act as main commercial contact
  • Oversee and support junior quantity surveyors and APC candidates
  • Produce cost plans, tender documents, evaluations and contract reports
  • Attend site visits, project meetings and client presentations
  • Ensure commercial processes are delivered to the highest standard
Associate Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a UK consultancy setting
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited subject
  • MRICS chartered (or working towards)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of both pre and post contract stages
