Job summary

WSP in the UK is seeking an Associate Director to lead and shape our urban drainage modelling capability within the water team. You will guide the technical delivery and work closely with the wastewater specialists to deliver innovative project outcomes for clients.

You will influence capability, mentor others, and help grow the practice while engaging with industry forums and stakeholders across the UK.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree and chartered or progressing toward ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.
• Experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and related standards.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our urban drainage modelling capability and keep the team ahead of evolving methods, tools and standards.
• Support the team lead with day-to-day management of the technical delivery team.
• Provide authoritative technical input on urban drainage projects, collaborating with the wastewater team.
• Apply independent professional judgement to solve complex engineering challenges and drive innovation.
• Build strong client relationships and facilitate internal and external project meetings.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and strategic growth opportunities.
• Represent WSP in industry forums and conferences.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the development of the wider water team.
