Job summary
WSP in the United Kingdom is seeking an Associate Director to shape the future of the water environment. You will guide our urban drainage modelling capability, lead technical delivery, and influence project outcomes for clients such as Severn Trent and Scottish Water Horizons.
The role combines technical leadership with client engagement, team development, and business growth. A relevant degree and chartered status are expected, with strong communication, and experience in wastewater modelling
Qualifications
- A relevant degree and chartered, or progressing toward ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.
- Experience with wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
- Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and hydraulics standards.
- Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of urban drainage modelling capability and standards.
- Support day-to-day management of the technical delivery team.
- Provide technical input on urban drainage projects with wastewater team.
- Apply independent professional judgement to solve engineering challenges.
- Build strong client relationships and run project meetings.
- Contribute to proposals and strategic growth.
- Represent WSP in industry forums and conferences.
- Share knowledge to develop the wider water team.
