Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director to shape the future of our water environment. You will lead the urban drainage modelling capability, guide a technical delivery team, and provide authoritative input on complex projects for major water clients.

The role combines technical leadership with business development and industry representation, offering opportunities for progression within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

A relevant degree and chartered, or progress toward ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.
Experience with wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM).
Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and British Standards.
Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of urban drainage modelling capability and keep ahead of evolving methods and standards.
Support the team lead with day-to-day management of the technical delivery team.
Provide authoritative input on urban drainage projects and support innovative project delivery.
Apply independent professional judgement to solve engineering challenges and drive innovation.
Build trusted client relationships and facilitate project meetings.
Contribute to business development, proposals, and growth opportunities.
Represent WSP in industry forums and conferences.
Share knowledge to develop the water team.
