Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director with proven expertise in urban drainage and wastewater modelling to lead teams and shape technical solutions for projects of local and national importance.

You will collaborate with engineers and modellers across the UK, guiding delivery, validating outputs, and helping grow the capability of a dynamic water team. A visible leadership role awaits in a renowned global firm.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering degree and professional recognition (e.g., Chartered status or progress toward it).
• Proven experience delivering urban drainage and wastewater modelling projects.
• Ability to review and guide technical work and ensure quality outputs.
• Understanding of Water Industry Standards and related codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams delivering urban drainage and wastewater modelling projects.
• Support project delivery, resource planning and review of technical outputs.
• Develop modelling capability using InfoWorks ICM and mentor junior staff.
• Provide technical input on drainage assessments and delivery strategies.
• Develop proposals and help secure new work and client accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships at multiple levels.
