Our client’s Cost Consultancy is responsible for some of the most strategically important projects in the UK. They provide high quality cost advice on the capital and whole life cost of their buildings with an increasing focus on carbon reduction.
Due to their continued success, they are seeking an Associate Director to lead and grow their commercial team in the West Midlands, based from their city centre Birmingham office.
Reporting directly to their Regional Director, you will become an important part of a high-performance multi-disciplinary team utilising the latest technology to deliver cost advice to design colleagues and clients. You will be responsible for the oversight of all project delivery, for operational management of the commercial team and it’s continued development, and for helping to continue to grow the team’s market share in the West Midlands region.
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, high performing senior individual who can demonstrate an ability to engage with design colleagues and client stakeholders. The role will involve :
Employer’s Agent and / or Contract Administration duties for variety of projects in residential, advance manufacturing, aviation and other private sectors.
Ideally experienced in the cost management of NEC3 / 4 and JCT construction contracts
Strong communication skills including the ability to manage cost reporting meetings with senior client representatives
Strong leadership skills
A collaborative approach including working with large technical teams
Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Software, including Excel, Project and Word
Be willing to complete S / C level of security clearance on appointment (to assist Defence Sector)
