Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Associate Cost Manager to support major capital projects across Scotland, the Midlands and North of England within AECOM's Buildings & Places team. You will manage cost control for large schemes, partner with Scottish Water and Environment Agency clients, and guide a team of professionals committed to innovation.

This role covers the full lifecycle from inception to commissioning, with potential to contribute to business growth and develop less experienced team

Qualifications

• NEC4 contracts knowledge, particularly PSC and ECC.
• Experience of cost/commercial management in integrated, multi-organisation teams.
• Experience of working within a client organisation or through a secondment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion.
• Maintain professional competence and strengthen client relationships and company profile.
• Drive performance standards and technical excellence through clear communication and internal networks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and promote premium quality services.
• Support internal team and mentor junior staff on complex projects.
• Identify marketing opportunities and assist Directors in pursuing new business.

MRICS accreditation

Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
