Are you ready to take on a new and rewarding challenge? We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Team Manager in Social Work, specialising within the Children with Disabilities Team in Havering, UK. This locum role offers a competitive salary of £41.10 hourly. With ongoing interviews and managers who are ready to meet you, this full-time hybrid position is initially for three months, with the possibility of extension.

What you will do:

  • Conduct high-quality assessments using a child-centred approach, working within a community focus and multi-agency framework to bring about positive change.
  • Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, Family Support Workers, Short Breaks Assessors, Education Case Officers, Educational Psychologists, and Advisory Teachers.
  • Manage complex caseloads, providing specialist knowledge for effective interventions, needs assessments, and care planning.
  • Play a key role in contributing to Education, Health, and Care plans, delivering short breaks, and supporting the preparation for adulthood.
  • Ensure social work contributions to child protection investigations and handle outcomes effectively in CIN, LAC, CP, Court, and Short Break contexts.
  • Receive robust support and guidance from the Team Manager and Service Manager.
