A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly developed Parent and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) in Salford. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist into this Band 4 role. The successful candidate will have a role in supporting with the Best Start for Life perinatal and parent‑infant relationships delivery plan. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of CAMHs or Adult Mental Health Services and ideally have experience of working with infants and/or parents. Under supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, you will be expected to contribute to the clinical offer within PAIRS, in addition to data collection and service evaluation. You will be part of a multi‑disciplinary team of professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for parents and their infants in Salford.

This post involves assisting in the delivery and development of the PAIRS team and supporting early years clinicians in their direct work with babies and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with a wide range of duties at all stages of service delivery: assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Develop resources, including online materials.
  • Conduct audit and service development.
  • Support both group delivery and online workshops.
  • Assist CAMHS clinicians in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of a variety of clinical, teaching and research tasks.
  • Act under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and receive regular supervision.
