Role Profile

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Function/Department: Retail

Location: West Bromwich

Role Purpose And Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose

You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, such as operating and running the shop and managing the shop team effectively. The day-to-day role involves assisting the Shop Manager and team with the smooth running of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained, accepting and paying out bets, and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes opening and closing the business, and in the absence of the Shop Manager, managing shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the Shop Manager with the daily operations and team management.
2. In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead the shop and team, including:

• Opening and closing the shop
• Managing and guiding the shop team
• Cash management procedures
• Managing and utilizing the company’s Time and Attendance system, ensuring adherence from the team

Leading by example to maintain shop presentation standards.

Encouraging team communication and idea sharing for improvements.

Focusing on shop results to identify opportunities and motivate the team to high standards.

Providing outstanding customer experience and guiding the team to do the same.

Accepting bets accurately through multiple channels, including betting terminals and EPOS systems.

Acting as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to multi-channel/digital services.

Ensuring adherence to operational procedures, including cash management and security.

Adhering to Social Responsibility duties.
