St Austell Brewery in Lyme Regis is seeking an Assistant Manager at Rock Point to lead a dedicated team and help the General Manager deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will run the floor during busy periods, ensure welcoming service, monitor standards and coach colleagues across Front and Back of House, with opportunities for future progression in our growing hospitality business.

Responsibilities

• Motivate team members to deliver their best and ensure smooth operations when the General Manager is away.
• Create a warm welcome for guests to ensure first impressions delight and consistency in service.
• Monitor customer feedback and maintain high standards, adapting as needed.
• Support full team during peak times, including Front and Back of House.
• Oversee quality food production and acknowledge the Kitchen Team's importance.
• Recognise when team members need help and provide support as required.
• Maintain admin and cash handling accuracy and take responsibility when GM is absent.
• Ensure knowledge and compliance with health and safety regulations.

About You

• Taking the helm when the General Manager is away, you motivate team members to deliver their best and ensure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Creating a warm welcome to guests comes naturally to you, making every first impression count to ensure experiences delight from the get-go.
• Keeping a watchful eye over customer feedback means your team is always adapting to maintain high standards and improve where necessary.
• You go above and beyond to ensure a consistently high level of service, supporting the full team including Front and Back of House during peak times.
• You oversee the consistent production of a quality food offering and recognise the importance of the Kitchen Team.
• Having a wealth of experience in a similar role means you are able to recognise when team members need help and you’ll support where needed.
• A keen eye for detail means you keep all admin and cash management systems ticking along as they should, taking responsibility when the General Manager is away.
• You know health and safety regulations like the back of your hand.
• Team members see you as an inspiring role model and know they can depend on you for support and development.
• You take pride and responsibility for your own development, with an eye towards becoming a General Manager one day.
