St Austell Brewery is seeking an Assistant Manager for Rock Point in Lyme Regis. You will lead a team, deliver excellent guest experiences, and support the General Manager when needed. A focus on safety, standards, and staff development will be essential in this role.

You will be responsible for motivating the team, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining quality across front and back of house. The position offers opportunities for growth within the business and a strong emphasis on customer

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality team and maintaining service standards.

Responsibilities

• Step in for the General Manager when required and lead the team to maintain smooth operations.
• Create a warm welcome for guests and ensure first impressions meet brand standards.
• Monitor customer feedback and drive improvements to maintain high service levels.
• Oversee front and back of house during peak times to support the team.
• Oversee quality food production and support Kitchen Team.
• Provide coaching and support to team members and develop staff for progression.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and accurate administrative processes.
• Act as a role model and support colleagues in development and performance.

• Taking the helm when the General Manager is away, you motivate team members to deliver their best and ensure everything is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Creating a warm welcome to guests comes naturally to you, making every first impression count to ensure experiences delight from the get-go.
• Keeping a watchful eye over customer feedback means your team is always adapting to maintain high standards and improve where necessary.
• You go above and beyond to ensure a consistently high level of service, supporting the full team including Front and Back of House during peak times.
• You oversee the consistent production of a quality food offering and recognise the importance of the Kitchen Team.
• Having a wealth of experience in a similar role means you are able to recognise when team members need help and you’ll support where needed.
• A keen eye for detail means you keep all admin and cash management systems ticking along as they should, taking responsibility when the General Manager is away.
• You know health and safety regulations like the back of your hand.
• Team members see you as an inspiring role model and know they can depend on you for support and development.
• You take pride and responsibility for your own development, with an eye towards becoming a General Manager one day.
