Job summary

Five Guys is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead shifts, coach teams, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality burgers and fries with exceptional customer service. You’ll support on-store profitability, staff development, and a positive working environment while upholding our values.

You’ll manage guest experiences, handle complaints transparently, and contribute to ongoing operations improvements within a busy, high-volume restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Strong focus on guest experience and satisfaction metrics.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
• Experience assisting with P&L, labour costs and stock waste control.
• Solid knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations hands-on on the floor and line.
• Support the General Manager to deliver outstanding burgers and fries and strong store results.
• Create a positive, values-driven working environment.
• Resolve customer issues promptly with transparency and empathy.
• Drive sales while controlling costs and managing long-term plans.
