Up to 29k depending on experience

YOU MUST HAVE 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A MANAGEMENT IN AN OPTICIANS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED

A long-standing, busy optical practice is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and lead a motivated, friendly team. This is a practice that values professionalism, progression, and strong leadership — making it ideal for someone who wants to step up and genuinely make an impact.

The Role – Assistant Store Manager

You’ll work closely with the Practice Manager and help shape both team performance and patient experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ team leadership experience and the confidence to lead a close-knit team while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

You will be involved in:
  • KPIs alongside the Practice Manager
  • P&L exposure
  • Rotas and holiday planning
  • Some interview involvement
  • Supporting supervisors with day-to-day leadership
  • Driving improvements in NPS and patient experience

They want someone fresh — not promoted internally — who brings energy, initiative and a level-headed approach to leadership. Someone who can take charge, maintain professionalism, and work effectively with different personalities.

What’s on Offer
  • Salary: £28,000–£29,000 (depending on experience)
  • Christmas Bonus
  • Holidays: Above statutory entitlement (details to be confirmed)
  • Weekend Requirement: Ideally 1 weekend day (Sunday preferred). If both weekend days are worked, two consecutive weekdays will be given off
  • Long-term progression: Senior roles and potential directorship
