Assistant Management Accountant Circa £32,085 dependent on skills & experience Permanent, 37 hours per week Huntingdon

The Assistant Management Accountant supports the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to aid operational and strategic decision‑making. This role requires strong attention to detail, financial acumen, and a proactive attitude in a complex operational and regulatory environment. You will maintain compliance with financial controls, champion process improvement, and support statutory and regulatory reporting, working with a variety of budgets and stakeholders. The role champions standardisation, automation, efficiency, and compliance, maximising opportunities through innovation and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Post journals, accruals, and prepayments accurately
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting, monitoring performance against targets
• Analyse Opex costs, identify trends, and provide insights for efficiency
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and contribute to process improvements
