A leading legal services firm in Greater Manchester is looking for a Legal Counsel with 2-5 years PQE to provide high-quality legal support across commercial, corporate, and technology matters. This hybrid role involves drafting and negotiating contracts and supporting corporate governance. The position offers flexible benefits, and once probation is completed, a four-day workweek option is available. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a pragmatic approach are essential for this varied and fast-paced role.
Sacco Mann is delighted to be working with an expanding and highly acquisitive, private equity‑backed organisation that is recognised as one of the world’s leading providers within its sector. The group delivers exceptional, research‑led services tailored to individual client needs and operates within a complex, highly regulated environment where timely, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice is critical. With further growth firmly on the agenda, this is an exciting time to join the business.
You will be a UK‑qualified solicitor with UK experience, ideally with 2–5 years’ PQE, and a genuine desire to work in a client‑facing, in‑house role providing high‑quality legal support across a broad range of commercial, corporate, technology and operational matters. Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate legal concepts clearly for non‑lawyers. This role is likely to suit a pragmatic lawyer who is comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Reporting to the UK Head of Legal, you will play a key role in supporting the group’s continued expansion, helping to consolidate legal frameworks across newly acquired entities. The position will involve drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, supporting technology, IP and software procurement activity, and assisting with corporate governance, company secretarial matters and statutory filings. This is a fast‑paced and genuinely varied role within a collegiate and collaborative legal function.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with two days per week required in the Bolton office (please see below regarding working hours).
This is a full‑time position; however, exceptionally, it can be offered on a four‑day‑per‑week basis (with full salary) once the successful candidate has passed probation. In addition, the business offers a broad range of flexible benefits that can be tailored to suit the individual, making the overall package truly exceptional.
