Elston Hall Learning Trust is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Headteacher to join our team at Tipton Green Junior School. This is a key role working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy to support the effective day-to-day management of the school.
As the schools’ Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and allegations, and you should be confident in managing complex caseloads. You will have responsibility for ensuring robust safeguarding compliance across the school, creating and maintaining a culture of care and vigilance. It is essential that you have experience of leading safeguarding, ideally already be accredited as a DSL.
In addition to safeguarding, you will lead on improving pupil attendance and punctuality. Working with other members of staff, you will have responsibility for monitoring and tracking attendance data, and ensuring attendance systems are robust and effective.
You will also be the lead for championing our Looked After Children, promoting their educational achievements and ensuring adequate support plans are in place.
