Responsibilities
  • Support with the management, planning, and coordination of civil engineering projects, across all stages, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with leading and guiding a team of engineers, technical staff, and designers, ensuring smooth project delivery and professional development.
  • Ensure all project documentation remains up to date, whilst also ensuring that all works follow health and safety regulations, internal systems.
  • Work closely with contractors, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring effective risk management, technical assurance, and alignment with design principles.
  • Oversee the production and development of assurance documentation, technical reports, and design deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Nurture ongoing development and progression within engineering processes, risk management, quality assurance, and design standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, with a chartered engineer status, or actively working towards attaining one.
  • Profound experience as an Assistant Engineering Manager, or a related role, with an understanding of civil engineering systems and the delivery of complex projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, and other project teams, ensuring project and professional development and progression.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with an ability to build and maintain rapport with professionals, contractors, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Significant organisational skills, with a proactive and problem‑solving mindset.
