Job summary

Oxford Innovation Space is seeking an Assistant Centre Manager to support the day-to-day running of Vulcan Works, Northampton, and act as deputy when required. You will help maintain safety, facilities, and a welcoming community for entrepreneurs.

The role focuses on delivering excellent service, managing compliance and coordinating events to maximise occupancy, with opportunities for development in a busy innovation hub.

Qualifications

• Proactive, organised and customer-focused persona.
• Experience delivering operations in a service-led or workspace setting.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage compliance, facilities and financial processes with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day centre operations, supporting the Centre Manager and deputising as needed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and help build a vibrant entrepreneur community.
• Support financial processes, including invoicing and cost control, contributing to commercial success.
• Assist with marketing, events and promoting available space to maximise occupancy.
• Maintain high standards of building presentation, health and safety, and procedures.
