Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join the Clinical Liaison Team at the Faculty of Health to cover a secondment.

About the role

You will support the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Dental Therapy and Hygiene (DTH) programmes with the administration of clinical supervision and Specialist Care Visits. You will be part of a team of five staff and are expected to liaise with our clinic staff as well as colleagues in partner organisations about placements and to maintain the student digital learning environment.

The post will be located at our North campus in the John Bull Building, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford, Plymouth, PL6 8BU. You will be expected to work in the John Bull Building for most of the time, although we do offer informal hybrid working arrangements.

This is a part‑time position working 18.5 hours per week on a fixed‑term basis until September 2027. The current post-holder works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and our preference would be to continue with the same days.

For this role, you will need to be on site two days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on‑site will be expected due to business needs.

The Clinical Liaison Team is responsible for providing comprehensive management and administration of the medical and dental schools’ clinical placements. We are currently seeking to appoint an individual to take up the post of Assistant Administrator (Dental).
