Job summary

A high growth Renewable Energy business is seeking an immediately available Asset Accountant for a 3-6 month interim role, potentially leading to a permanent position. Responsibilities include managing full-cycle accounting for renewable energy assets, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications preferred. Immediate availability required.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
• Proven experience with Asset Accounting.
• Background in Energy or Infrastructure is preferred but not essential.
• Available to start on short notice - up to 2 weeks.

• Oversee revenue recognition, PPA invoicing, and contract cost tracking.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and perform variance analysis.
• Partner with Asset Management and Project Finance teams for budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure financial reporting compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAP standards.

COMPANY:

High growth Renewable Energy business is looking for an immediately available Asset Acocuntant on a 3‑6 month interim basis, which can go permanent.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible (but not limited to) the following:

• Manage the full‑cycle accounting process for operating renewable energy assets (including solar, wind, and storage).
• Oversee revenue recognition, PPA invoicing, and O&M contract cost tracking.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and perform variance analysis for each asset SPV.
• Partner with Asset Management and Project Finance teams to develop budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure financial reporting compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAP standards.

SKILLSET & EXPERIENCE

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Proven experience with Asset Accounting
• Background in Energy or Infrastructure is preferred but not essential
• Available to start on short notice - up to 2 weeks
