Job description

Role Summary Working as part of the Pumps Assembly team to produce and assemble high‑quality peristaltic pump drives and heads. With safety at the forefront, you will be employed within work cells manufacturing, calibrating, and testing the company products in accordance with specifications, procedures, and quality standards. You will embrace and champion LEAN production principles ensuring wastes are eliminated and processes are continually reviewed and improved.

What you’ll be doing Manufacture and assemble WMFTS products in compliance with official documentation such as BOMs, G.A. drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly procedures and test specifications. Select the relevant components specific to main assembly and sub‑assemblies, utilising the internal stock control process. Follow and adhere to ridged work instructions ensuring all relevant test procedures and associated results are recorded in line with departmental procedures. Become a champion for quality and adopt the right first‑time principle. Report and record any quality issues. Ensure Kanban signals are actioned as part of the material replenishment system. Using Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system, prioritise daily workload and meet customer demand. Prioritise workload to ensure the correct replenishment of sub‑assembly stocks is aligned with the Kanban system. Be flexible, relocating to various product cells to respond to business demands. When required, assist with training of individuals on new and existing products, self‑managing online training and IT production tasks. Ensure your immediate working area is maintained tidy, clean and safe. Champion your passion for health, safety and wellbeing. Be willing to adapt to a shift‑based rotation if business demand dictates. Provide support for various production activities including end‑of‑line processes. Embrace continuous improvement initiatives throughout the pumps value stream, working closely with Team Leaders to develop and implement new ideas. Assist with process validation of new equipment. Support and drive 5S activities across the pumps value stream, ensuring the workspace is efficient and safe. Support process improvement investigations including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role • A willingness to work in a fast‑paced production environment. • Medical device manufacturing background would be an advantage. • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles. • Experience of 5S processes. • A keen eye for detail and a willingness to utilise all available resources to drive process improvement. • Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing customer demands.
