Job description

Due to acquiring new and prestigious contracts, this well established and prominent UKAS accredited and client based asbestos consultancy with a large presence currently has an opportunity for a high calibre, committed and multi-skilled Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to join their busy team in Scotland – Central Belt. Undertaking duties such as personal air testing, producing reports, supervising asbestos contractors on site and making sure that they are following H&S regulations. Applications from Hamilton, Falkirk, Paisley, Cumberland, and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have attained the P402, P403 and P404 or the equivalent – RSPH qualifications and at the same time must have significant experience working within this role and within the asbestos sector.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be IT literate.
• Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos.
• Must have good client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing.
• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various properties, including commercial and industrial.
• Supervising asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they adhere with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
• Collating and producing accurate asbestos reports as and when required.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s clients.
