Our client specialises in the fields of asbestos and environmental consultancies – covering various contracts within the local authority, education through to commercial and domestic sectors and at the same time they have a large presence across the UK.

Due to business demands, they are actively seeking for an astute and self-driven Asbestos Operations Manager to work for them in and around London.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must come from a solid commercial, operational, management technical and sales background within the asbestos industry.
• Must be well versed with the asbestos market.

Purpose of the Role

Building the company’s asbestos business rapidly by bringing in new clients and still managing the existing clients.

Key Role

• Managing the company’s large portfolio of clients – new and existing.
• Managing the team/staff – office.
• Ensuring that contract operations are coordinated with clients and are efficiently carried out in accordance with site operations and company procedures.
• Managing staff/team on site and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures.
• Getting involved with technical reviews – proposals and reports, etc.
• Mentoring and training Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts.
• Managing and controlling numerous projects, contracts and portfolios.
• Assisting with tenders and quotations.
• Solving problems and dealing with various issues appropriately.

Requirements

• Will be commercially focused, smart, confident, articulate and versatile and have the ability and acumen to take the business to the next level.
• Will have good communication, organisational, people management and computer skills.
