Job Description

We are actively seeking a high‑calibre, self‑driven and commercially focused Asbestos Bid Manager to join our team in the London area. In this role, you will manage registrations with relevant authorities, oversee the bid qualification process, and prepare winning proposals that meet our high commercial and quality standards. Consideration will be given to applicants from Basildon, Dartford, Southend‑on‑Sea, Maidstone, and surrounding areas.

Purpose of the Role

Identifying asbestos consultancy opportunities within the commercial, public and private sectors, preparing and winning bids, and taking full responsibility for the end‑to‑end bid process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain registrations with appropriate authorities to ensure receipt of EOIs, PQQs and tender notifications.
  • Manage the bid qualification process effectively and appropriately.
  • Collect and coordinate bid inputs from stakeholders – sales, marketing, finance, technical teams, legal, etc.
  • Review and prepare the technical side of bids, ensuring submissions are accurate, presentable and market leading.
  • Maintain client information, liaison, and ensure tenders are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Managing Directors to ensure technical and commercial aspects of tenders are completed within timelines.
  • Prepare written proposals and management summaries.
  • Deliver compliant and commercially sound bids, resolving business issues – technical, etc.
  • Arrange post‑bid reviews and collect feedback from clients/customers.
  • Implement continual improvement of tender documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Marketing Manager and our portfolio of clients.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant educational background; a degree is beneficial.
  • Significant experience in bid management, sales, business development, commercial, removals, and project and risk management.
  • Good knowledge of the asbestos and construction commercial sectors.
  • Excellent communication, people management, organisational, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain consistent, up‑to‑date information.
  • Interest in individuals with P401/P402/P403/P404/P404 or S301 CCP qualifications.
