Job Title: Asbestos Administrator / Laboratory Analyst
Location: Southend on Sea, Essex
Salary / Benefits: £19k – £27k + Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Asbestos Administrator / Laboratory Analyst through to Lead Asbestos Administrator / Laboratory Analyst

Profile: A UKAS accredited and reputable Asbestos Consultancy who cover the full range of Asbestos services across the UK. They are now seeking to employ a hardworking and organised Asbestos Administrator / Laboratory Analyst based in and around the Southend on Sea area. The successful candidate will ideally hold the P401 qualification and will have extensive experience working within a split of Administration / Laboratory role within the Asbestos industry, carrying out bulk analysis, preparing samples for analysis and recording analytical findings, alongside, writing up final reports for clients, inputting data and checking reports and scheduling in work for site staff.

Applications will be considered from: Basildon, Brentwood, Romford, Grays, Wickford, Rochford, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Tilbury, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Billericay, Chelmsford, Dartford, Gravesend.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will hold the BOHS P401 qualification at a minimum.
• Will have experience working within the Asbestos industry working within an Administration / Laboratory role.
• Will have a keen eye for detail and will have excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Legislations.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Will have experience using industry relevant databases.

The Role

• Working within the Laboratory, carrying out preparing samples for analysis.
• Analysing fibre content in line with UKAS regulations.
• Ensuring all samples are logged and stored correctly upon arrival to the lab.
• Completing test analysis sheets in line with agreed time frame.
• Ensuring safe working practices are being followed in the Laboratory.
• Carrying out varied administrative duties such as scheduling surveying and analytical projects using TEAMS.
• Finalising any reports using information from site staff before passing to clients.
• Carrying out effective control of company documents, ensuring the office runs smoothly.
• Any other office duties i.e. filing documents and scanning.
• Liaising with clients, providing technical support when required, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with efficiently.
