Job summary

Job Title: GCSE Art & Design Tutor

Location: Eltham, London. Pay Rate: £25-£35 per hour. Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | Flexible Hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one and small group tuition in GCSE Art & Design.
• Support students in developing their creative portfolio, refining practical skills, and strengthening theoretical knowledge.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs, including students with SEN.
• Provide constructive feedback and strategies to help learners gain confidence and meet their targets.
• Track progress and liaise with families or the wider educational team where appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year teaching or tutoring experience in Art & Design (GCSE or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE Art & Design curriculum, assessment objectives, and portfolio requirements.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired

• QTS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience supporting students with SEN or additional needs.
• Ability to incorporate digital media and contemporary practices into sessions.
