Unite Group is seeking an Area Sales Executive to strengthen sales capability across multiple student accommodation properties. You will coach teams on follow-up, viewings, objection handling and conversion to deliver consistent, confident student experiences.

Focus on turning insights into action, maintaining CRM standards, and supporting local activities such as open days and events to drive throughput across properties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, sales coaching, performance support or team development in a customer-focused environment.
• Track record of helping others improve, not just delivering strong personal results.
• Strong commercial judgement with ability to turn data into practical actions.
• Confidence giving constructive feedback and adapting approach to different levels of experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
• Collaborative, values-led approach that builds trust and accountability.
• Warm, student-focused style balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify where sales performance can improve and turn insight into practical action with property and city teams.
• Coach colleagues through live enquiries, follow-up, viewings, objection handling and closing conversations.
• Build confidence and capability through side-by-side support, feedback, role play and sharing best practices.
• Support CRM usage, pipelines, and timely follow-up across multiple properties.
• Support local activity creating leads, including open days, student fairs and events.
• Improve rebooking and retention by planning and delivering resident engagement.
• Use performance data and insights to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Create consistency across teams while adapting support to property, market, and customer needs.
• Step into direct sales during peak periods or when extra support unlocks results.
• Recognise progress and reinforce strong behaviours to sustain improvements.
