Unite Group is seeking an Area Sales Executive to boost sales capability across our student accommodation portfolio. You will work with city and property teams to identify gaps, coach teams through live enquiries, viewings, objections and conversions, and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, sales coaching, performance support or team development.
• Track record of helping others improve, not just personal results.
• Strong commercial judgement; turn data into practical actions.
• Confident giving constructive feedback and adapting approach.
• Strong communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
• Collaborative, values-led, trustworthy and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Identify where sales performance can improve and translate insight into action.
• Coach colleagues through live enquiries, follow-up, viewings and closing conversations.
• Build confidence via side-by-side support, feedback and role play.
• Ensure disciplined CRM usage, clear pipelines and timely follow-up across properties.
• Support local activity: open days, student fairs, events and digital channels.
• Improve rebooking and retention through resident engagement planning.
• Use performance data and market insights to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Create consistency across teams while adapting to different properties and needs.
• Step into direct sales when needed during peak periods.
• Recognise progress and reinforce strong behaviours.
