Area Cleaning Contract Manager

We re looking for a highly organised Area Cleaning Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of cleaning contracts across multiple sites. You ll ensure excellent service delivery, maintain strong client and supplier relationships, and keep everything compliant and running smoothly. This role is a great fit for someone proactive who can support business growth through solid contract management and effective stakeholder engagement.

Location: Field based. Covering Enfield, Croydon, Edge of Essex

Hours: 40-hour work week. Flexibility on hours required.

Salary: GBP35,000-GBP45,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple cleaning contracts.
  • Manage and support cleaning supervisors and operatives.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Plan and manage staff rotas, recruitment, and training.
  • Monitor budgets, stock levels, and performance targets.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in the contract cleaning industry is essential.
  • Experience managing school cleaning contracts is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel between sites (company car provided).
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Proven experience in contract management
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of liaising confidently with clients
  • Ability to analyse complex contractual issues swiftly and provide clear recommendations.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
