Job summary

Orona’s Intelligent Lifts & Escalators division in the UK is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join its finance team. You will manage invoicing, monitor balances and support cash flow alongside project managers and clients.

The role emphasizes debt collection, accuracy, and process improvement, with opportunities to gain lift-industry qualifications and progression within the Service and Repairs team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems; experience with Xero would be an advantage.
• Experience in construction or a related industry would be beneficial but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable ledgers to ensure timely collections.
• Issue invoices and statements to clients in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Proactively follow up on overdue invoices through calls, emails, and letters.
• Develop and implement strategies for recovering outstanding debts, including legal escalation where necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
• Address client queries and concerns regarding invoices and payments.
• Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, cash flow forecasts, and debtor performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and payment workflows.
