  • Willingness to work towards Level 3 Teaching Award.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a caseload of apprentices studying IT Support Technician Level 3.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and mentoring sessions.
  • Assess learner knowledge, skills, and behaviours in line with the apprenticeship standard.

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to London 4 times per year)

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognised training provider with over 20 years’ experience delivering high-quality apprenticeships and professional development programmes across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced Apprenticeship Skills Coach – IT Support Technician (Level 3) to support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assessor who enjoys supporting and developing learners, with the flexibility of remote working and strong career development opportunities.

The Role

  • Manage and support a caseload of apprentices studying the IT Support Technician Level 3 standard
  • Conduct regular progress reviews, coaching, and 1:1 mentoring sessions to support learner development
  • Assess learner knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) in line with the apprenticeship standard
  • Support learners through portfolio development, assignments, and exam preparation to ensure readiness for End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Maintain accurate and timely learner records using an e-portfolio system
  • Liaise with employers to monitor learner progress and ensure apprenticeship standards are met
  • Provide guidance and support to help learners overcome any challenges during their apprenticeship
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching and assessment practices within the team
  • About You
    • Assessor qualified (CAVA / TAQA or equivalent) – essential
    • Level 3 Teaching Award (or willingness to work towards) – desirable
    • Level 3 or above qualification in a related IT subject – essential
    • Previous experience assessing IT apprenticeships, ideally IT Support Technician, with knowledge and experience of Networking
    • Confident managing a remote caseload and building strong relationships with learners and employers
    • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support learners to achieve their potential
