Academy 4 Kids Day Nursery is situated in a beautiful listed building, which was previously St James’ School for boys, founded in 1809. In the summer of 2003 Academy 4 Kids was established. Academy 4 Kids is a bright, welcoming and stimulating nursery for children from 3 months to 5 years. Our practice and facilities include:

• Children spend the majority of time outside, digging, planting, investigating, building, exploring and playing

• Qualified staff providing excellent child led activities around the foundation stage

They are looking for someone who is dedicated to work in Childcare long term and would be looking to go full time on completion of the apprenticeship and become an important member of their team

The role involves working with all children aged 1-5 years old.

Duties Will include:

• Caring for children
• Safeguarding
• Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
• Supporting children's play and learning
• Supporting children's development
• To help to keep children safe
• Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning

We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with very young children and willing to learn all job duties and train to gain childcare qualifications.

To become an apprentice, you must:

• be 16 or over
• not already be in full-time education

As an apprentice you’ll:

• Complete an early years apprenticeship standard
• Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
• Learn and train for a specific job
• Get paid and receive holiday leave
• Get hands‑on experience in a real job
• Study for at least 20% of your working hours
• complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
• Be on a career path with lots of future potential
