Job summary

Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking a Customer Service Apprentice within the Customer Services Team. You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and customers, providing information, help and advice across council services and helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will be trained to develop knowledge of service areas including Council Tax, Rents, Benefits, Housing and Environmental Services.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Excellent keyboard and computer literacy skills.
• Strong customer service skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, handling enquiries.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve customer needs at first contact.
• Cross-skill across several services and support digital access where possible.
