Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection is seeking an Applications Technician in Letchworth Garden City. The role focuses on demonstrating equipment, supporting sales, and providing technical guidance to customers and the sales team.

This office-based position offers training, a consultative environment, and opportunities to influence sales outcomes. The successful candidate will conduct demonstrations, maintain the demo suite, and work with account managers to expand customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting equipment demonstrations to highlight features and benefits.
• Ability to provide technical support to customers and sales teams.
• Strong organisational and presentation skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up and deliver machine and software demonstrations, in person or online.
• Collaborate with Sales Account Managers to showcase equipment and drive sales.
• Work with Customer Relationship Executives to upsell and upsell tooling.
• Handle post-demo administration, documenting details and returning materials.
• Conduct test demos for new and existing customers.
• Maintain the demonstration suite, ensuring everything is clean and operational.
• Keep software suites updated for optimal functionality.
• Provide technical assistance to customers by phone for guidance on selection and settings.
• Deliver training and guidance to the sales and marketing teams to enhance the process.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and open days.
