Job summary

Academia is seeking an Apple Systems Engineer to join the Apple Helpdesk Team in a role focused on high-quality technical services and Jamf Pro management for our MacOS and iOS environment. The ideal candidate will handle Tier 2+ remote support, issue resolution, and MDM maintenance while documenting solutions and ISO procedures.

The role requires strong communication, planning, and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences, with certifications in Jamf or related tools

Qualifications

• Experience in managing an Apple Mac &/or Apple iOS environment from the ground up using Jamf Pro in a current (MacOS Sequoia and above) environment.
• A passion for all things technology related.
• Excellent all round communication skills especially in questioning and listening.
• Excellent personal planning and work organisation skills.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• Ability to demonstrate solutions to customers when necessary.
• Experience* &/or certification of Jamf Pro CCA/300 or Jamf Protect 270+ or above; knowledge of modern Jamf management including Blueprints & SSO.

Responsibilities

• Tier 2+ remote desktop support for OSX, iOS and Jamf Pro.
• Issue resolution.
• Maintenance and automation of software for patch management.
• Basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• MDM (Jamf) solution maintenance.
• Solutions documentation.
• ISO procedure documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience.
