Job description

Part-Time | Flexible Hours | Up to 4 Days per Week

Are you an experienced Analytical Chemist with a passion for precision and quality?

This is a unique opportunity to join a successful, family‑run business (with a strong, global client base) at a time of continued growth, where your ideas are valued, your contribution matters, and flexibility is part of the package.

Our client is an expert in providing solutions for analytical instrument qualification. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of certified tools and reference materials within a quality‑focused environment.

Your role will be two‑fold. Primarily (ca.80% of your time) you will undertake the annual calibrations of OQ testing tools for global clients. The remainder (ca.20%) of your time will be spent producing market‑leading qualification kits; sets of traceable reference standards for qualification of chromatography and spectroscopy systems.

Day‑to‑day Responsibilities Will Include
  • Perform calibration and adjustment on Test and Measurement instrumentation (LC flow, GC flow, temperature & pressure)
  • Support the manufacture of products and reference standards
  • Conduct routine analyses using HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis instruments to support manufacture
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance to support process and product development
  • Support laboratory investigations, including root cause analysis for out‑of‑specification (OOS) results
  • Communicate effectively with global clients to explain results and investigations, including the explanation of OOS results
  • Perform calibration and maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance, accuracy, and compliance
You Will Bring
  • Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Experience in a GxP or regulated laboratory environment
  • Strong chromatography experience
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to work autonomously in a small, dedicated team
  • Passion for quality and a “can‑do” attitude, eager to get involved and make a difference

Full training will be provided.

Why join the team?
  • Highly flexible working options – perfect for those seeking part‑time balance
  • Supportive, close‑knit team where everyone’s input counts
  • Family‑business culture with genuine care for people and progress

If you’re ready to bring your skills, enthusiasm, and initiative to a growing business that values quality and teamwork, we’d love to hear from you.
