Job description

We're looking for experienced Aluminium Welder/Fabricators to join a leading high speed craft and aluminium shipbuilder. You'll work on aluminium vessels from hull to completion, supporting all stages of build in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aluminium welding and fabrication of marine structures and components
  • Working from engineering drawings and build specifications
  • Fabrication of hulls, decks, frames, bulkheads, and structural sections
  • MIG welding of aluminium to a high standard (marine quality)
  • Fit-up, tacking, welding, and finishing
  • Maintaining quality, safety, and housekeeping standards
  • Working collaboratively as part of a build team through full vessel construction
About You
  • Time-served Aluminium Welder/Fabricator or highly experienced (non-time-served considered with strong proven ability)
  • Proven experience welding aluminium, ideally in marine or heavy fabrication environments
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Marine/boatbuilding experience is highly desirable but not essential

  • Work on complete aluminium vessel builds from hull to completion
  • Initial 2-3 month contract with a good chance of extension
  • Opportunity for overtime during peak workload (not guaranteed)
  • Standard 40-hour working week
  • Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00 , Friday: 07:00 - 13:00
  • PAYE - 21- 24/h Plus holiday pay or 28.12 - 32.14/h Umb/Ltd co
